Mum's Birthday Cake
Wasn't happy with the colours on this one. I was using shop bought food colouring. Completely feeble compared to proper colouring pastes!
Dad's Birthday Cake
Looks a bit chaotic but everyone liked it, and it was the tastiest one I'd made all year apparantly! One thing I learnt through working (simply!) with chocolate is that white chocolate melts VERY quickly, especially in a warm kitchen!! lol
Brother's Birthday Cake
This was the first one I was really happy with. I'd bought not only the colour pastes by this point, but also some pre-coloured sugar paste too. Cheating slightly, but for the strong black colour it was worth it. I would never have been able to colour it that dark myself!
